Your probiotic powerhouse drink!
Produced locally in the traditional way using healthy live kefir grains and 100% organic milk
Our kefir products are not made from freeze dried powder and not diluted thereby ensuring maximum probiotic, vitamin & mineral content.
We make our Kefir cream cheese natural so you can use it as a soured cream straight onto your Chilli Con Carne, Baked potatoes, sweet potatoes or spice it up with chopped chives, wild garlic or flaked garlic or mixed herbs to spread on toast, crackers or used as a dip with celery, carrots etc. I love swirling chilly flakes in a little olive oil though the cheese. Let me know your favourites or new flavour ideas by emailing email@example.com and I’ll share them on the recipes page.
How long shall I take it and how much shall I take?
In our experience, if you are new to Kefir then everyone should start with a 6 week course. This gives the gut time to populate with good bacteria and to settle into a new balance and to absorb the vitamins and minerals. In other words it’s not an instant fix, it’s part of a healthy lifestyle.
For a few people’s bodies it can be a bit of a shock so start slow to see how your body takes to it. The majority of people do not have any adverse reaction but if you do its just a case of starting slow and increasing over time gradually building up to 150ml per day.
We recommend 1 litre/bottle per week i.e. 150ml (approx.) or ½ glass per day. For a healthy individual wanting to combat the damaging effects of modern life then a 6 week course two or three times per year should suffice.
If you suffer from any of the common ailments outlined on this website then we recommend you take it for 3 months and then assess your progress, if you feel that things are good or improving then you can either continue to take it or you might take a break for say 1 month and then do another course and so on. The important thing is to listen to your body, everyone is different.
If you are taking or have taken a course of anti-biotics you definitely need to take it for a minimum of 3 months to repopulate the gut. read more…

Loosen the bottle lid

Kefir will separate in the bottle
When it is stored you will see the liquid whey rise to the top. Sometimes referred to as liquid gold. Read more…This is normal, just tighten the lid down and give it a shake to mix. Don’t forget to release the lid carefully as the Kefir may pop out of the top.
Store in a fridge
And drink when cold as it is much more palatable this way
It has a very sour taste, quite tart
If you are not keen on the taste you can flavour it with; Strawberry’s, Bananas, Maple Syrup, Vanilla Extract etc. Don’t mix with honey because its anti-biotic qualities may kill the good bacteria in the Kefir. We’re not saying don’t take honey but just don’t mix it with your Kefir, save it for your toast at breakfast. Check out the Recipes page
